You might just find your own “kindred spirit” in the woods surrounding Green Gables。 Anne herself， her unexpected ability to see horizons， and her all-too-rare care for words drew my own spirit while reading this book。 You may look at the cover and think， “not my style，” but push past your cover judgement。 Once I did， I found a friend and fresh breath that was once missing。

very fun read！ i think the best way to describe this book is to say that this is a comfort read。although anne embarrassed me at times to the point where i wanted to throw the book across the room， i still love her so much and i think she might be my favorite fictional character （apart from katniss everdeen and yelena belova…。and the crows） the quotes in this book were perfect and i adored green gables。 oh and did i mention THE QUOTES :’’’’）

قصة جميلة وخيالها خصب… أسوء شئ بالنسبة لي أني قرأتها كبيرة فبقت بالنسبة لي زي الل بيقرأ عزيزي يا صاحب الظل الطويل بعد ما كبر فمش بيفهم روعتها لأنها عايزة سن صغيرة وبعد كده تفضل معاك زي نوستالجيا كده… الحاجه التانية أني قرأتها بعد ما شفت المسلسل بالتالي فضلت أدور بين السطور على الل شوفته لكنه طلع مختلف تماما

It’s amazing how differently children’s classics affect you when you read them as an adult。My mum and I read Anne of Green Gables together when I was little and I fell in love with Anne and her imagination。 Rereading as an adult I picked up on so much more。 The humour， the tenderness， the heartbreak。I think this is probably one of my favourite books and I’m so glad I finally reread it after over 30 years。
